I am building a delay-tolerant networking (DTN) showcase in which city buses and cars behave as “data mules,” ferrying messages from a source vehicle to a destination vehicle whenever communication is possible. The core of the job is a runnable simulation that plays out on an interactive map: I want to watch vehicles move, see packets hop between them, and toggle between two forwarding strategies: • an arbitrary, “send-whenever-in-range” method, and • a direction-aware method that chooses relays based on the vehicle’s heading.
