Vox Media is seeking an Assistant Video Editor to join the branded content post-production team supporting _Vox_ and _New York Magazine_. This entry-level editing role focuses on turnkey, templated, and quick-turn social content, with opportunities to develop skills on larger projects under the guidance of senior editors, Creative Directors, and the Post-Production Supervisor. The role will involve: Editing cutdowns, recaps, and repeatable social formats for digital platforms. Creating quick-turn social edits that follow established templates and house style. Adding basic music, sound design, color adjustments, and LUTs to templated content. Setting up and organizing projects for freelance and external editors, including bins, sequences, file structures, footage, dailies, and assets. Creating stringouts and supporting project handoffs, finishing, wrap-out, and archiving. Working in Adobe Premiere, including Team Projects and Productions, in accordance with internal workflows. Supporting color and sound turnovers on larger projects. Sharing cuts through Frame.io, incorporating feedback, and maintaining clear communication with producers, editors, and external partners.
