Forbes is seeking a temporary Social Producer to distribute journalism across social platforms and increase readership. The role focuses on identifying high-potential stories, developing platform-specific packaging and making editorial publishing decisions aligned with Forbes’ audience strategy. The Social Producer will primarily manage content for Facebook, LinkedIn and X, while also supporting Threads, Bluesky and WhatsApp. Coverage will include breaking news, features, investigations and major Forbes franchises such as Billionaires, Forbes 400 and Under 30. Reporting to the Senior Editor, Social, the successful candidate will work independently in a fast-paced newsroom while collaborating with editors, reporters, audience teams, design and art colleagues. Key responsibilities include: Identify stories with strong social potential and determine what, when and how to publish. Write, edit, schedule and publish platform-specific posts. Respond quickly to breaking news while maintaining accuracy, sourcing and editorial standards. Select or create basic social assets and collaborate on more complex visual packages. Monitor platform trends and identify opportunities for Forbes journalism. Track performance data and use insights to improve publishing decisions.
