MLB Local Media is seeking a Freelance Producer, Game Telecasts to lead the creative, editorial, and operational execution of live MLB game coverage for assigned clubs. The producer will oversee each telecast from the opening segment through the final out and postgame coverage, ensuring compelling storytelling, accurate information, and a presentation that meets MLB’s broadcast standards. The role involves working closely with Coordinating Producers, Local Media leadership, directors, on-air talent, production crews, club representatives, and media relations teams. The producer will manage the game format, rundown, timing, storylines, replays, graphics, interviews, sponsorship elements, live integrations, and transitions to and from pregame and postgame programming. Key responsibilities include: Produce live MLB game coverage independently, with guidance and review from senior production leadership. Direct the editorial flow of each telecast, including storylines, replay selections, graphics, statistics, and information for on-air talent. Develop rundowns, formats, timing, commercial schedules, and required sponsor and promotional elements. Collaborate with the director to align editorial goals with visual and technical execution.
