The core objective is to quantify organic matter content, so the sampling strategy, preservation techniques and subsequent lab work must all be geared toward keeping those organics intact. Site & scope • Coastal zone—intertidal to shallow sub-tidal, accessible from shore in Philippines and Indoneisa. • Representative coverage across the high, mid and low shorelines, plus one control site outside the main influence area. • Minimum of 12 discrete samples, each at least 200 g, sealed in pre-cleaned amber jars, stored on ice immediately and frozen within six hours.
