I already have a working LabVIEW 2016 application that drives several axes. A new rotary stage has just arrived and the manufacturer has supplied a full set of LabVIEW VIs. What I need now is for that rotary axis to be woven seamlessly into my current code so it behaves exactly like the existing stages—only with the higher-resolution, precise-positioning capability this hardware offers. Scope • Integrate the vendor’s VIs into my LabVIEW 2016 project. • Extend my motion-control state machine so the new rotary axis can home, move absolute/relative, and report position with the same safety interlocks and fault handling as the other axes. • Update the UI so the rotary position, target entry field, and status indicators appear alongside the existing controls. ...
