Nicely Video Co. is seeking a freelance Assistant Video Editor to work on a project-by-project basis with its small Seattle-based team. The role supports lead editors in creating story-driven social content, paid advertisements, and brand videos for independent businesses across the Pacific Northwest. The Assistant Video Editor will shape raw footage into engaging, authentic stories while maintaining high standards for craft, client service, and collaboration. Projects may last from several days to a few weeks. Edit social videos, paid ad creative, and brand content in Premiere Pro. Develop strong hooks and platform-appropriate creative formats. Color correct and grade footage for a consistent, intentional look. Mix and clean dialogue, music, and sound design. Create titles, lower thirds, and captions using Essential Graphics. Incorporate feedback, complete revisions efficiently, and contribute creative ideas. Communicate proactively about progress, questions, and potential roadblocks. Requirements Solid Adobe Premiere Pro skills and an organized, efficient editing workflow. Practical experience with color correction, audio mixing, and Essential Graphics.
