I need a concise Python script that will wrap my videos in DRM for pure content-protection purposes. The material is delivered through MPEG-DASH, so the crucial format to handle is .mpd (manifest plus its related segments). What I expect the script to do • Take an existing DASH package (or un-packaged MP4 assets, if that makes the workflow easier) and apply encryption suitable for a modern DRM system such as Widevine or FairPlay. • Generate the updated .mpd manifest with the proper `<ContentProtection>` nodes inserted. • Leave me with a protected media folder ready to be served from my CDN.
